Follett 7 Series Receives Kitchen Innovations Award
April 12, 2013 EASTON, PA - Follett's 7 Series ice and water dispenser was selected as a 2013 Kitchen Innovations award recipient by the National Restaurant Association (NRA). 7 Series will be featured in the Kitchen Innovations exhibit at the NRA Show 2013 being held May 18 through 21 in Chicago.
The 7 Series was designed to solve the problems of height, drain availability, and aesthetic design in employee refreshment and related venues. At only 17.59" high, the 7 Series dispenser is short enough to go on a counter under a wall-mount cabinet, and its 14.62" width takes up minimal counter space. Despite its compact size, 7 Series can produce up to 125 pounds of consumer-preferred Chewblet® nugget ice per day and store up to 7 pounds.
To solve the drain availability issue that limits the placement of many dispensers, Follett designed the 7 Series icemaker and bin such that melted ice in the enclosed bin returns to the icemaker to be refrozen rather than drain out of the dispenser. In addition to eliminating the need for a drain, this design reduces installation costs and allows 7 Series to be installed in places where other icemakers/dispensers cannot be today. It also minimizes water consumption, contributing to world-class energy and water efficiency.
Finally, the aesthetic design with capacitive touch dispenser interface and soft blue accent lighting complements any décor with the added benefit of an energy conserving sleep mode, making it ideal to place pantries, reception areas, lounges and other similar venues.

Follett Announces Launch of Horizon 700 Series Ice Machines
JULY 31, 2012 EASTON, PA - Follett Corporation has added the Horizon™ 700 series to its industry-leading line of Chewblet® ice machines. The Horizon 700 series makes up to 675 lbs of ice in a 24 hour period and is available in self-contained models with air or water cooled condensing. The new Horizon 700 series uses natural resources efficiently, with air-cooled units requiring only 5.2 kWh and 12 gallons of water per 100 pounds of ice produced. These new models save space as well. The 22.6" wide model can be placed on 22" dispensers, under counters, and on wall mount brackets.

Follett Announces Energy Efficient 3 Phase Outdoor Condensing Unit
April 27, 2012 EASTON, PA - Follett Corporation adds outdoor condensing units with 3 phase power supply to its remote ice machine configurations. Not only do outdoor condensing units remove from the building the heat generated when making ice, but these new energy efficient units save 20% over single phase units.
In addition to reducing the power required, the 3 phase machine's lower amp load allows for smaller circuits, saving money on installation. Follett's Horizon™ ice machines with the new 3 phase outdoor condensing units produce the same high quality Chewblet® ice as the single phase remote condensing units as well as the self-contained machines. The outdoor condensing units are available for Horizon 1000, 1400 and 1650 series ice machines.
