NC PROGRAMMER / PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR - 2ND SHIFT
Position Summary:Maintains production by writing and modifying computer programs for sheet metal fabrication equipment such as laser, turret presses, and brakes; prepares routings and other production planning documents. Provides general supervision for second shift production personnel. Education:High School Diploma or GED.
Post high school industrial certification desirable. Experience:Minimum 3-5 years experience in sheet metal fabrication. Experience in a leadership position. Experience using AutoCAD software; 3D solid modeling desirable.
Intermediate level Excel; experience using Access relational database desirable. Essential Responsibilities:Oversees the laser operation by creating and modifying programs, developing cutting parameters, coordinating the sequence of the programming and scheduling.
Maintains continuity of work results of laser operators by studying techniques, establishing procedures, guiding operators and supervisors, and training personnel. Develops and improves work systems and manufacturing processes by studying equipment and facility layout, space requirements, work flow and methods. Supports the product development process by participating on core teams, confirming designs and processes for manufacturing. Maintains required databases by developing computer programs and spreadsheets; entering and backing up data. Maintains quality service by enforcing organization standards. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
